Shout Out!!

Chapter 13
'Do not let them cross that bridge!!'

There was a loud roar, as several explosions hit the coast, sending green-uniformed soldiers flying into the air. Jessica clutched her fists. It cant be... How could they have found them so soon, and whislt Y.Hong wasn't here.

Her orders were clear and devastatingly simple. Drop all current duties. Grab arms. And rush to the bridge.... She won't know how to handle a war as miuch as Y.Hong does, but she knows one thing. Once they get across the bridge... it's over.

Before her, hundreds of rebel fighters are already on the move. Some holding rifles, snipers and mortars, positioning themselves around the coast line, shielding themselves behind the boulders. Across the coast, a vast number of red-uniforms lined themselves along the coast line. Jessica knew they were outnumbered.

Just then, another mortar shell hit the shoreline, blasting rubble and sand into the air.

'We cant hold the line much longer!!' shouted one of the soldiers from behind the boulders.

Jessica looked grim. She had not expected such a swift move. She looked around. The mortar blasts coming from Cheng's assaults were insanely accurate, and not to forget they were coming at them in large numbers. Whats more... she could see they were outnumbered. If they made it past the bridge, there was no way the rebels could take them. But then...

She looked at the soldiers that had fought along her all these years. Slowly, she lifted her head up. "Prepare the men.. we retrea...'

A hand grabbed hers from the back. She turned back and looked. It was Bin Li. Before she even spoke, Bin Li walked in front of her, then stopped. 'We have to hold the coast line.... That bridge cannot be completed.'

Jessica shouted. 'But there is no way.....!!'

Bin Li looked at her. Those eyes... those intensely fierce eyes... Something about him sent shivers down her spine. 'We can.'

Before she could say anything, he raced towards a parked motorcycle by the coast.

'Everyone hold the line!' Bin Li shouted, as he revved his motorcycle into full gear and headed to the beach intersection, where Cheng's workers were rebuilding the bridge. As he was about to reach them, several barrages of mortar shells caught his open-air stunt, and exploded around him. As the clouds of dust cleared, a shadow zoomed out of the dust cloud and then, raised into the air, landing on the bridge, sending several workers falling into the river.

Bin Li turned back and shouted 'I'll hold them here!! Jessica, no matter what, hold that line!!' Just as he finished, he merely dodged a bullet sent at him by one of the workers. Just as another shot was fired, Bin Li zoomed forward, and knocked them off the bridge one by one. His movements were quick and ferocious, blazing past the workers and landing punches at them. Just then, a loud gunshot was heard. Bin Li looked up, and saw one of the red-uniformed snipers hiding in the trees fall to the ground. He turned back, only to see Jessica's pistol bellowing smoke from the tip. Bin Li smiled.

He looked forward, and then, reach out his hand towards his face, and pulled the mask down. The remaining workers began to step backwards at what they saw.

Bin Li's smile grew wider. 'Anyone who wants to finish this bridge... come closer.'

'Oh? Interesting....' Cheng said, as a puff of smoke was released from his mouth. Beside him, Chee Heng and Siew Li stood abreast, looking at the magnificant stunt Bin Li just pulled off.

'So that's the Captain of the Black Ops? Heh heh... Interesting.. Very interesting, Chee Heng..'

Siew Li looked to her left, and from the corner of her eye, saw Chee Heng lick his lips. A bead of cold sweat dripped down her forhead. This man.... was the legendary Vanguard. The one who dared call himself an Undead, Cheng's strongest Shield. His abilities was something she had yet to see, but the stories circulating around about him were enough to send jitters down anyone's spine. The captain of the Vanguard looked at her, and Siew Li immediately withdrew her gaze. Chee Heng smiled. 'That interesting am I, Siew Li,' and laughed. 'Hmph.... more like a sight for sore eyes.'

'What!!!' Chee Heng drew his blade, and swung it towards Siew Li, who blocked it with hers. The impact of the hit was a little too overwhelming for Siew Li, and it sent her backing a little. As she did this, she did not realise the blade she was blocking earlier was now just behind her. 'Impossible.... such speed.'

As the blade came crashing down on Siew Li, there was a sudden clank, and everything went still. Cheng stood between the two of them, his one hand raised, and was clutching Chee Heng's blade. Siew Li was stunned. Such speed.... for a bodyguard... and for Cheng... She didn't even realise any of thier movements.

'It ends here... you idiot.'

'But she made me angry... I hate being angry..... Just let me kill..... Urgh!!'

Cheng was already below Che Heng, and the hand that was holding the sword earlier was now on Chee Heng's throat. Siew Li was dumbfounded. This Cheng.... what on earth is he?

'You have something to say to me?' Cheng's voice was now deep and dangerously sharp.

Chee Heng struggled at his grip. 'N.. N.. No...'

Cheng let go, sending Chee Heng falling to the ground, catching for air. He turned to Siew Li, who felt a sudden breeze, like he was looking through her. 'I must apologize.... He gets angry easy.. too easily.'

'N.. No.. its alright..' Siew Li said. This man is a monster!

Cheng smiled from eye to eye, and continued looking over the coast. 'I hate it when we are going to fight each other. What I want.. is Y.Hong's head.' He turned and looked at Siew Li once more. '... and you're going to help me get it, aren't you?'

Siew Li cooled herself down, and as more mortar shells were fire into the air, nodded.

'Heh.... That's waht I thought.'

He turned to Chee Heng. 'Since you want a fight so badly... Get down there. Your Black Op is delaying my bridge from completing.'

Chee Heng stood up, and brushed the dirt off his clothes. Then, as if nothing just happened, the maniac-like-bloodthirsty expression returned to his face. 'Much oblidged....'
